  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Method
 

  1. Whisk dry ingredients. Cream butter with brown sugar; add egg and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients to form a soft dough. Chill briefly.
  2. Prepare the cinnamon filling and portion into small dollops.
  3. Wrap dough around the filling, seal, and roll in sugar. Chill briefly, then bake at 350°F for 11–13 minutes.

Notes

Prepare fillings in advance for quicker assembly. Dough chill helps with handling.
