Ingredients

For the Chicken Filling
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into thin strips
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
For the Wraps
  • 4 large flour tortillas or whole wheat wraps
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 clove garlic minced for butter
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup fresh spinach or lettuce
  • 0.5 cup diced tomatoes
  • ranch dressing or garlic aioli for drizzling

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Spatula
  • Small bowl for garlic butter
  • Pastry brush (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the Garlic Chicken Filling: Season chicken strips with garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temp). Set aside.
  2. Warm Tortillas: Wipe skillet clean and reduce heat to medium. Warm each tortilla 30 seconds per side until soft and pliable.
  3. Assemble Wraps: Place warmed tortilla on clean surface. Sprinkle mixed cheeses down center, add 1/4 of chicken, optional vegetables, and dressing.
  4. Fold and Toast: Fold sides inward, roll tightly. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over wrap exterior. Place seam-side down in skillet and cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve: Let rest 1-2 minutes, slice diagonally, and serve hot with favorite dipping sauce. Repeat with remaining wraps.
